What are the Steps for employee login on SAP SuccessFactors
The employee has first to access their HR portal in order to manage benefits, development, and payroll. The login experience is based totally on the company or organization the employe is in because SAP SuccessFactors® is a cloud-based platform (SaaS).
Access Methods
In general, there are two types of access methods available to do as an employee on the platform which are:
- Standard authorization
- Single sign-on (SSO)
This section explains each access method, what they mean, and how to use them:
1. Standard authorization
This is granted from the company itself where the employee has a certain username and password. This type of login is mainly used for frontline workers or for organizations that don’t have identity management.
2. Single Sign-On (SSO)
This is the most used method and many large organizations use this way. The company itself will have a specific SSO for them and the employee won’t need a separate or a certain username and password for themselves. The company link will login the employee immediately.
How to login on SAP SuccessFactors through the standard authorization method
- Company URL
- Company ID
- Authentication
Here are the detailed steps for logging in using the standard authorization method on SAP SuccessFactors®
Company URL
The HR department will provide the employee with the link that is specific to the company itself. It will look like this: https://[Your-Server-ID].successfactors.com.
Company ID
If the employee was redirected to the generic login page, then they will have to put the company ID and that ID is used to identify the company’s specific portal.
Authentication
The employee will have to put their company’s email or username and then they may be asked to complete an authentication factor through SMS or mobile app to guarantee safety and security.
